♦JTEC designs and manufactures state-of-the-art X-ray focusing mirrors.
|
|
JTEC has successfully put the very unique technologies, EEM, MSI and RADSI, into practical use. The technologies, developed by Osaka University with untiring decades of effort, have enabled us to fabricate focusing mirrors into nano level accuracy and provide unprecedented excellent focusing property. Researchers across the world are certainly attracted by the world smallest focal spot size created by these technologies. Thanks to the excellent performances and the high reputation of the mirrors, JTEC has produced more then 100 mirrors in the last 6 years for the synchrotron facilities around the world.
The collaboration between Osaka University and the X-rays optics group of SPring-8/RIKEN has realized the diffraction-limited two-dimensional focusing of hard X-rays at the sub -100nm level with an ultra-precise K-B mirror unit as shown in the figure above. |

♦Excellent Features
|
| ・ |
- Ultra accurate figuring
Slope error < 0.1 µrad rms, Shape error < 2 nm (PV), 0.5 nm rms (on our measurement)
Our ultra accurate figuring for the ideal shape enables you to achieve the diffraction limited focusing.
|
| ・ |
- Super fine surface smoothing
Micro roughness < 0.1 nm rms (at best effort)
Super smooth surface creates ideal reflectivity.
|
| ・ |
- Distortion free surface
Unique mirror fabrication principle through chemical enables distortion free surface.
|
| ・ |
- High flexibility of working distance
KB mirror system allows higher flexibility of working distance compared to other optics such as Zone plate.
